MitchBastard
After brew day today I was giving the Guten a clean. I had a shit tonne of hot break to scrub off the edge of the kettle. I grab a scourer and go HAM. I then notice after the sponge has been sitting in my guten, a whole bunch of mould on the sponge. Should I worry about any bugs planting themselves in side the re circ pipe or any where else from the mouldy bastard? it was a quarter full of water and sodium perc and it will be boiled next brew day but ya never know, ya know. Marty_G
Na should be fine.... but to be 100% certain do a 1hr boil of say ten litres with some white vinegar in the water while running the pump and recirculate through all of the piping etc just to make sure. 1
