Classic Brewing Co
Hi Guys, Don't suppose anyone knows if there is a way to re-set the Mangrove Jack Dual Temperature Controller back to default settings ? I moved things around in the brewing room after last use & now can't seem to get it right. I have the instructions & pretty much know how to work it, but in spite of the target temp being set the unit is displaying a much higher reading, the cool light is blinking & the fridge is not running " it's doing my head in How do I change the temperature hysteresis value? 1. Press the set button and hold for 3 seconds. The Set indicator light on the screen will appear. 2. Use the Up or Down buttons to select F2, the code corresponding to temperature hysteresis value. 3. While holding in the Set button, use the Up or Down buttons to enter the desired value. 4. Once you reach your desired target value, press the Power button to set that value. The cooling does not switch on immediately when the measured temperature increases above the target temperature + hysteresis value. Is this normal? The controller has been set to a default cooling delay time of 3 minutes. During this delay time the Cool indicator light should be flashing. If the delay time you experience is greater than 3 minutes, then this setting has likely been changed from its default. To change the cooling delay time back to 3 minutes: 1. Press the set button and hold for 3 seconds. The Set indicator light on the screen will appear. 2. Use the Up or Down buttons to select F3, the code corresponding to cooling delay time. 3. While holding in the Set button, use the Up or Down buttons to select 3. 4. Press the Power button to set that value. My controller does not display the correct temperature. How do I fix this? The most likely cause for this is that the temperature calibration setting has been changed from its default value of 0 ºC. To change this back: 1. Press the set button and hold for 3 seconds. The Set indicator light on the screen will appear. 2. Use the Up or Down buttons to select F4, the code corresponding to temperature calibration. 3. While holding in the Set button, use the Up or Down buttons to select 0.0. 4. Press the Power button to set that value. iBooz2
Hey Classic, Can you plug a desk lamp into the cool (fridge) socket on the controller to see if it turns on or is on? Is the temp probe cable unplugged cut twisted/kinked or damaged in any way? Is temp probe sitting somewhere where it is way out of the normal temp range? Have you fiddled with the normal temp range settings? Can you heat the probe up with a cup of warm water to see if lamp turns on? The fact that the cool led is flashing says it may be in delay mode, my controller did this once (not MJ) and lasted ages, way too long and I knew there was a fault. Powered it off at mains and waited several minutes then re-plugged it back in and all was fine. Sorry not much help with the MJ unit. Classic Brewing Co
Hey Al, I appreciate your reply, thank you. I played around & did my homework & realised I had the plugs the wrong way round. What a .........d, it has settled at the target temp, everything working as it should be. So thanks & Cheers, Phil.
iBooz2
@CLASSIC well I was going to suggest you check the cables but then thought "no way". Mine are black for heater side and grey for fridge side so hence came to conclusion no way. Never thought your fridge side and heater side may be the same lead colour. Or are they? You will note I did click on the laughing icon at lower right too! Cheers - AL
