The nasty Games Special I had got hold of was in glass bottles... think that I had just not drunk enough water through the day... then had the GS fest and ended up with terrible headache... None of this mid-strength dishwater. But Carlton then was bringing in these other 'novelty' beers... like Brisbane River... with the appropriate advertising to push it along. Carlton did also have a Pilsener... think that was more like beer. And XXXX had the splendid Carbine Stout - that was quite a nice drop!
