Split Fruit Brew

This will be split into  2 fermenters

25L

2.8kg best wheat

2.5kg gladfield pilsner  

1.4kg Acidulated malt

.4kg Dextrose

.25kg rice hulls

Above will be mashed excluding the  acidulated for 60mins then the acidulated added for a further  45minutes

fermenter 1

Will be 12L  with 1kg of frozen raspberry added day 5  + 13g of salt  yeast K-97  6.3 % abv approx.

 

fermenter 2

 

Will be 12L  with 1kg of frozen blackberry added day 5 yeast T-58  5.5 % abv approx.

 

 fermenter 1 I have done similar before and loved it but the other in fermenter 2 is a new one for me but I think it will be not too bad cheers

both of these at this stage are great the blackberry farmhouse style is very funky keeps you thinking it has many layers of taste . The raspberry is a lot more tart and less malty as it has no redx as I had in a previous batch/s and slightly more acidulated   I will see  how these taste at a later date and make a full batch of each lovin it so far cheers

the only problem with the Raspberry one is its too easy to drink lol. I don't mind the blackberry farm house but I will let it age a bit. OOoo and the budvar is no more knocked it over and cracked bugger

the Raspberry is all gone it has been a real winner amongst friends and with me as well. The blackberry wasn't halve bad either but I am going to do another raspberry with a different grain bill but still acidulated malt but a differnet base malt will post a another thread when I do it cheers
