Jakemaca
Gday fellow brewers. I'm going to try a 10L BIAB Raspberry vanilla milkshake IPA. I have a recipe from brewers friend but it's missing some info. Can anyone advise on how much raspberry (frozen or thawed) to add and when to add it? Also how many vanilla beans and when to add them? Is the lactose best to add at end of boil or during fermentation? It's going into bottles. Thanks
The Captain!!
Jakemaca. Welcome to the forum. Nothing like biting off the tip of the iceberg. Add raspberries for fermentation. Vanilla you’ll want to add post fermentation. How much is up to you, how much vanilla do you want? I’m doing a porter now and will add 2 pods for a week. Possibly more. Im not sure about lactose however I’d add during the boil. Towards the end, like 5-10 mins.
