Hops and BIAB

I usually get an increase in hop flavour from cube additions more so than aroma although there is a small increase there too. So far I've only used about 40-50g in the cube. At a guess I transfer around 85-86 degrees so a few degrees lower once it's full, so the IBU contribution would be negligible and there isn't any bite from it like you get from boiling hops. Then after ten minutes it goes in the pool for an hour or two.

My current schedule for pale ales is a small bittering addition either at FWH or 60 minutes, a 10 minute boil addition, a flameout addition which is pulled after 10 minutes, a cube addition, and either a dry hop or keg hop. Works well.

Whenever I construct recipes I start with the cube hops and work backwards, using the early addition to top up the IBUs to my desired number. The cube hops are added as a 5 minute whirlpool addition at 90 degrees in Beersmith. Seems to work well.
