Ideas for how to stop spam

I do'nt like the spam showing up every now and again. 

One idea could be that a certain number of new members posts have to be moderated before publishing. Some work I guess but could raise the over all quality.  

Any more ideas?

Maybe just don't allow posting links for the first few posts. I don't think the moderators are here enough to allow for moderated posts. It would kill the forum for newbies. When you make that first couple of posts, you are really hoping for some fast responses.

In the meantime, it's best to just click the "report post" link in the top right and report the post as spam.
