GingerNuts81
I just made a Toucan Stout with a twist or two. But my OG is 1.080. Just wondering if there is a means to figure out what sort of FG I might be expecting?
Greenyinthewestofsydney
Doing a couple of toucan stouts at the moment as well. You can work out an approximation by the yeast attenuation figure if you know what the yeast is but still it will only be approximate. It depends on the fermentability of the ingredients mostly. PaddyBrew2
Calculating FG would depend on a few variables. Namely the fermentables you used. I used lactose in my stout which gives a higher OG but doesn’t ferment so I would end up with a higher FG
GingerNuts81
I used a tin of both Stout and Pale Ale 1kg of Brew Sugar 800g Dextrose (what I had left in the box) 500g of LDM As for yeast, I used both tin yeast and two Mr Beer craft yeasts (iirc from IPA and North Western PA) Does this help? Otto Von Blotto
At a rough guess I'd say it'd be in the range of 1.015-1.020.
MitchellScott
I have added everything you have listed into this. Its generally very accurate so should give you a good idea. Due to your different yeasts used I can't really add that in so it may change slightly due to the yeast used. Mitch.
