King Ruddager
Anyone got any suggestions for a marathon-themed beer? Also, is anyone else running the Adelaide Marathon in a couple of weeks?
King Ruddager
Ooh, here's an idea ... MARis otter malt AHTanum hops lONdON esb yeast ? 2
The Captain!!
I’d say massive carbs with low alcohol ha ha ha All of the runners I know are nuts and drink beers straight after running a 100ks. However I do like your Maris Ahtanum London ale mix.

Just to add weight to how stupid I think running is, consider that I couldn't feel my nuts for a day (and my little fingers didn't fully recover for a year) after a 24 hour bike rice I completed, which I thought was freaking awesome. That's how how I feel about running.

GingerNuts81
A beer for a marathon, I would wont 0 fizz. No hops. Sweeter the better. A beer themed for a marathon, would be something with a slow smooth taste that sits on the palate for an extremely long time. As for being a crazy runner, well no normal person will run 42k. King Ruddager
Ok so Ahtanum is proving to be difficult to find - how about this ... MAR(athon)is Otter malt African hops? (because all the good long-distance runners are from there) 4th gen US05 (because that yeast is running it's own marathon) 42.195 IBUs

King Ruddager
@GingerNuts81 - yep, first one. I was hoping to beat 3h45m I'll just downgrade to the half distance and do another one in a couple of weeks instead.
