bennysbrew
Got a couple of mates 40ths coming up. Making celebration ales for the day, was thinking of jazzing them up with edible glitter for a laugh. Anyone done it? Would normal edible glitter work, or glitter dust be better? Mark D Pirate
We had a glitter beer entered in last year's state cup, I wasn't on that table but saw the mess from mine. One of the challenges here is that your adding trillions of nucleation points to a liquid with dissolved gas , over time any glitter is going to flocculate . Once carbed and chilled and then poured I suspect you'll have jugs full of foam and flat beer in glasses due to C0² instantly coming out of solution. The Captain!!
I’ve seen people do this in sours and looked alright but yes, didn’t do the beer any good after a few minutes.
bennysbrew
Ok, maybe I'll just put a bit in the first bottle handed to the birthday recipient...
