Yes remove all the rubber .... sorry should have mentioned that .... also only need short bursts ... the liquid in bacteria is measure in microlitres ... so sort bursts maybe even 15 second bursts ... 3 x 15 seconds with a 10 second rest ... You'd then need to sterilise the rubber o-ring separately. I soak my tap in a bowl of boiling water, before throwing it into the starsan mix.
