bendyman27
Just got my first Coopers Real Ale kit, and opened it up thinking I would find instructions and dry ingredients inside. However I discovered it was full of a syrupy substance. Unfortunately, I'm going away for a week, so can't start brewing straight away - will the contents keep? I have covered the tin and put it in the fridge. A second question. The kit recommends 1kg of Coopers Brew Enhancer 2. When I ordered on Amazon, 1kg of 'Brewing and Wine Making Sugar' was recommended to go with it. Is this the same thing?
Otto Von Blotto
It should be fine covered in the fridge for a week. I doubt those things are the same. Alternatively you could add 1kg light dry malt to it.
bendyman27
Thanks for the quick reply. Guess I can order the recommended enhancer to come while I'm away

Guess I can order the recommended enhancer to come while I'm away The above Malt option will be better than the recommended enhancer for head and taste. Another option is a 1.7kg can of liquid malt. You can buy either Malt option almost anywhere, or even the Brew Enhancer 2 can be purchased at BigW or your local home brew store, if you are in Australia. PaddyBrew2
Did you check inside the syrup just in case it fell in ?
