Titan
Was interested to read this. https://patspints.com/2019/01/16/the-surprising-science-of-dry-hopping-lessons-from-tom-shellhammer/?fbclid=IwAR21mhWNL2_kQ_-6-o99q1rSEQGKAvgGClsklo3JY4Mes5dz3IL9SvzdMOA
PaddyBrew2
Interesting read on the hop creep. Coincidentally enough I had read about it last week due to my large dry hop in my neipa.
Spudley
Thanks for sharing Titan , I now know a bit more about Hops, when why and the possible out comes of the process of it all. Cheers Spud
The Captain!!
This made it into the latest experimental homebrewing episode. Pretty interesting. Found it fascinating that my dry hop experiments mirrored what was said here. Anymore than 8g per litre of dry hops and it’s not doing anything for you but wasting hops. I dry hop around the 6g per litre which is Just under double the amount of which was seemed as “perfect”. Interesting read though.

Norris!
I felt for a few years now that dry hopping with certain varieties does add bitterness, I could taste it, finally some evidence to back it up, so nice. The hop creep was cool to read about. The additional sugars from the hops was nice to see and to add to my knowledge bank, oh look it is about empty! Hahaha. I often ignore the science bit for ancedotal evidence due to my attention span but this was explained so clearly even I understood it. Very much appreciated Titan for sharing. Otto Von Blotto
Interesting read indeed. I have never experienced hop creep from dry hopping though, not to my knowledge anyway. I will have to check the SG against the FG after the dry hops have been added.
