Naughty Corner Brewing Posted January 5, 2019 Share Posted January 5, 2019 Going to put this on next weekend and have everything here including the yeast, but I was wondering how the CCA yeast would go in it. I usually do the recipes as they are the first time but I’ve got some Coopers Session Ale that I can harvest from and wouldn’t mind giving it a try. Thoughts? Smashed Crabs Posted January 5, 2019 Share Posted January 5, 2019 Should be fine. Thou after making the shark attack XPA if you are a more hop driven drinker i suggest upping the hop additions. I found it quite average flavor and aroma wise. Was ok, but had potential to be better! I will be making it again with 2x the hop additions. I can definitely knock over a few of them, but that’s not a cheap afternoon! if it somewhere around the bitterness of that one I think I’ll be a happy boy. elLachlano Posted January 5, 2019 Share Posted January 5, 2019 I'm finishing up my first batch and about to bottle my 2nd. CCA should go ok in it. Probably add more complex flavour - but I'd certainly try it. As @Smashed Crabs said, it could go with some more hops which is what I'm trying with my 2nd batch. "To the recipe" was still a great drop. I even deemed it good enough to give a crate of longies to a mate who supplied me with some empty bottles when I started out.
