Down south a Coopers Pale Ale works nicely with this sort of thing. Something non-hoppy or aromatic, & more malt driven lightly IMHO. It really does.

Anyways....simple plan today. Hickory smoked pulled pork burgers.

Stage 1: Smoke & slow cook the rolled pork for approx. 4 hours in the smoker.

Stage 2: Bring the pork inside, cut the string off & place in my slow cooker loaded with the sweet, spicy, BBQ sauce to cook for another 3-4 hours.

Stage 3: Remove the pork, shred, then place back into the sauce to absorb.

Stage 4: Grill a few brioche buns & load with pulled pork, smokey cheese, tomato & lettuce.

Stage 5: Serve with a few beers from the keg & enjoy watching Port Adelaide destroy North Melbourne in the AFL. 😁

Our lot have been one win, one loss all year long. I really don't know why I expected them to break that cycle. Maybe because they could play finals for the first time in about 4 years?? They need a small miracle now. Dumbasses!

I'd have North Melb drug tested anyways. 1 goal one week, then 21 the next? 🤔

Blaaaardy Byardiful BB1 - recipe for the festive rub/baste/marinade/saucy stuff?

Did you rub - roast - paint on marinade... then finish in the alfoil?  Or?

Directions would be good if they are not trade secrets ; )

3 hours smoked after putting some pork rub on the ribs  

2 hours wrapped in foil with a bit of beef stock.

1 hour unwrapped with BBQ sauce.

Nothing in mine but I the bacon I made for that birthday party on Saturday just gone was well received. 

The butcher near me has these things called pork porterhouse roasts. I'm gonna try one for my bacon, because rather than the rolled loin roasts they appear to just be a solid round piece. I find the loins come apart at times when cooking it. Gonna grab one tomorrow then figure out how long to cure it for. Need more curing salt too.
