Doing a quick saison today. Usually i put in a small amount of crystal but didn't have any so its just pilsner malt and wheat this one.

19L batch using heaven sent H20

5gm gypsum

3.5kg pilsener

0.5kg wheat

15gm magnum @60

20gm cascade @10

Irish moss at 10

5gm coriander at 10

20gm cascade at FO for 20 mins

Was a bit worried about ph with this one even using the rain water. As it turned out it has come out at 5.6 in the mash. Close enough.

This will be fermented with a blend of 50% BE134 and the other 50% being a blend of belle and 3724.

See how she turns out

Easy brew day today.

Coopers DIY recipe: Enterprise Lager

I've never used Pacific Jade hops before & was part of what attracted me to the recipe. They smelled nice with a medium intensity citrus aroma & peppery note. Mixed with the herbaceous characters of the Euro kit & a dry hop of Enigma, should make for a very interesting & enjoyable beer once on the pour.

Cheers & good brewing,

Lusty.

Expect a very high ABV% around 8.5%+ for this brew. The DIY ESVA recipe base only uses 500gms of dextrose to hit approx. 7.5% ABV.

This caught a few home brewers out a few years ago & a number of them ended up with beers over 8.5% ABV!

I hope you've pitched enough yeast. 🤔

Best of luck with the brew(s),

Lusty.

Pitched M29 for this brew, @The Captain1525230099 see how it goes 🙂

10.00 g Coriander Seed (Boil 5.0 mins) Spice 6 - -
10.00 g Orange Peel, Sweet (Boil 5.0 mins) Spice 7 - -

I totally forgot to get the Orange Peel so my sister suggested Mango 😄 so I dropped in 50g (53g) of Mango with the Coriander seed (crushed).

The Saison came out at 1.047, slightly under SG, got 24 liters into the fermenter, not too fussed.

Brew House Efficiency: 71.6%
Mash Efficiency: 81.6%

Way off on the IPA, still trying to work out what  went wrong here, was out 600ml on water, I was slightly hotter on mash temps around 2-2.5 degrees, I was even thinking I stuffed up my grain weight, not sure oh well see what happens when I repeat it 😄

70 Liters brewed for the year 😄

Sabro? Never heard of her.

Be really interested in how it goes once in the glass.

I can't wait for it to be bottled and carbonated

Descriptor is the following

Sabro™ brand HBC 438 is a US aroma hop that is notable for its complexity of fruity and citrus flavors. It imparts distinct tangerine, coconut, tropical fruit, and stone fruit aromas, with hints of cedar, mint, and cream. With a robust brewing performance, Sabro proves to be a strongly expressive hop that translates its flavor incredibly well into beer.

Why not toss in the whole 100g of both?
