Hope all was well for your special day and everything went as planned. But more to the point, how’d ya beer fair? And did you have enough? All good today, went for a lay down about 7:30 with the intention of getting up again, didnt make it. Beers were good and had plenty. Younger generation brought some of those UDL's so still have plenty left. Only used about 20l.

#granted+brew
Hi all, Been drinking megaswill for the last couple weeks (Christmas pressies) and now finally back onto the homebrew I'm biased but my 'cheap pale' I'm drinking atm is just so much better than that mass produced stuff. I've posted this brew already on this thread but that photo was from a bottle I rolled deliberately dislodging the yeast/trub. This pint I poured straight out without disturbing the sediment. About 5 weeks in the bottle now and while not a great beer by any means still a nice cheap beer... Did u scale it down because of a smaller finishing volume of beer, or just so it didn't blow your head off? 75 grams of Galaxy for 60 minutes, bloody hell that'd be as bitter as chewing a Christmas beetle
Fergy1987
Drinking my RoboChoc. Put in an extra 100g black patent which has made it nice and roasty. Going to age these until winter months.

I reckon I will still open the first within four weeks, just for scientific research purposes, of course. Cheers Shamus
Otto Von Blotto
Keep a few of them away for 2 or 3 years as well. It's a style that is often aged for long periods like that.

Otto Von Blotto
I aged a 6 pack of 7% stout once, trying one every 6 months until it was gone. They definitely improved in time but I think they were at their best after 18 months. They didn't get worse after that, just no more noticeable improvement.

ben 10
Gave a bloke from work my Cherry Ripe stout. He lost his mind and wanted to make something kit based. I suggested a look around the Coopers recipes and he found this https://www.diybeer.com/au/recipe/black-mountain.html I thought that it looked good, left out the hops and he couldn't find frozen cherries so went mixed berries. I gave him some choc malt crushed as I had it on hand. What a beer, big and boozy, and a nice tart hit from the berries. Top stuff!
