MitchBastard
Howdy all, i hope y’all had a great Xmas. yesterday I bottled my latest batch. Most went into glass bottles, some into PET bottles. I bottled straight from the FV which was sitting at 1.5degrees for 2 and a bit days. I know It’s only been a day and a half but have noticed my PET bottles have not firmed up one bit (my previous batches that weren’t cold crashed were pretty firm by day 2 and almost ready to go by day 4) does cold crashing delay carbonation due to the beer needing to rise to temp before anything happens? Greenyinthewestofsydney
Yep. You answered your own question. They will carb up slower as the beer takes a bit to get up to a temp that is good for carbonation.
