The Captain!!
Went to the LHBS today and bought some bulk hops. Put them in the freezer and thought, “This is getting out of control!” I also need some more for the next couple of brew days.

Otto Von Blotto
I wish I had enough room to store that many hops. I used to at the olds, have my own drawer in the freezer for storing hops. I was surprised how much I could fit in it. There are still hops in it now, but I can't remember what varieties they are. Maybe I should keep it and just go get them from there as needed. I'm usually there every week watering my own hops anyway...
Fergy1987
Happy to take some off your hands Captain I've been allocated a small container in the freezer that I have to jam my hops in. It only takes like 3 100g bags haha.......I might have to start hiding them in empty packets of frozen food.
ekymetal13
Best thing I ever did was get the kegerator and my own fridge outside. The mrs was happy no more beer and hops in the inside fridge ! Cheers Ek
Otto Von Blotto
My brew fridge is outside now, we're both happy about it. I never really liked having all the brewing equipment stashed in different areas all through the house. Now I can have it all in one place and out of the way.
The Captain!!
So I just ordered 4.5kg of hops from Grain and Grape. They have a 20% off sale today. I do like to support local however it was just too cheap to pass up. 1kg of cascade, centennial, mosaic and Amarillo. Plus the original hop I was enquiring about, 240G Sabro. All for $220 delivered. This would cost me about $450 locally.

PaddyBrew2
Captain, when you open a bag. What do you use to reseal ? Do you need a vacuum sealer or does one of those plastic shutter things work

I’ll be purchasing a vacuum sealer soon to repackage up from the kg packages.
