Hairy
So it is time for the Magnum beer. I was planning on doing a full extract beer but decided to take a short cut and use a kit with a lower volume. I will be running with: 1.7kg Coopers Mexican Cerveza 150g CaraMunich 1 20g Magnum @ flame out (steep) 30g Magnum - Dry Hop 10 litres OG - 1055 FG - 1014 IBU - 55 Yum!!! 9
The Captain!!
Nice one Hairy. I think I’m going to enjoy the banter on this one.
Otto Von Blotto
I'm interested to see how this turns out, next year I'm planning an all magnum pale ale but I'll do the full AG batch. I used it all up in my big stout so I'll have to order more.
Hairy
I forgot to mention the yeast. I will probably use US-05 to let the hops shine.

That way if it's crap it hasn't cost him a lot of time, money & he won't have to tip out too much. 14 minutes ago, Hairy said: I forgot to mention the yeast. Guvna
Hairy, if this turns out well you could consider a Magnum range of beers? Maybe a "Dirty Hairy 44 Magnum" with 6 rounds of dry hopping @ 7.3gms / FO = total of 44. Go ahead, make my brew! porschemad911
Well Hairy, my pale ale with Dr Rudi follows a very similar recipe. It's good, but I'm sure yours with Magnum will be spectacular. 1

The only thing I'd bother to test that hop out with is a naked flame. I'm glad it's not my money. P.S. Hopefully you'll be able to smell it over the kit hops Hairy! Cheers, Lusty. Are ‘aroma’ hops in a kit even noticeable? Legitimate question, I would like to know.

Smashed Crabs
I have never noticed any aroma hops in the cerv kit. Oh and made the stop haha. Might use the whole 100g even for the 10L batch only will cost $
