Trappist Orvel: not too strong for a trappist, got a slight cidery effect from the yeast I think. Aiming to keep the bottles as they’re pretty strong and a nice shape, and I have a case for them.

Lovely textured tiny bubbles pale brew... hadn't had in ages... but now in the days of AG...  the pale colour matches a very pale character...  almost lifeless... nothing to say for itself whatsoever... but on the better end of the Megaswill Spectrum...  and if you want your beer to be quiet then I guess this fella won't make too much noise 😬 Certainly was drowned out by the roaring of the raging HOP Beast Monster IPA that followed out of the Keg nearby 🥳

@stquinto  Nice Bottles & I love the glass too. After looking at some of the Belgium/German beers I don't feel so bad about their cloudy appearance as I don't bother to CC.

Cloudy beers do not bother me, look at Coopers Pale Ale for example, it is all about the taste. Obviously if you ere entering into competitions it would be different.

Cheers

Phil

A quick visit to White Lies Brewing this morning, to get some lockdown brews…not that I don’t have any of my own 😀

This one is called Milk & Six Sugars…Thanks. A coffee pastry stout with a slightly elevated ABV content of 10.5%. Very heavy, sweet and coffeish beer. Not bad at all but at this level, it is hard to disguise the alcohol. I’d like to see it a little more creamy though. I’m glad I only poured a small glass. I have more beers to taste and try 😀 I was planning on doing some work today but I think I will leave it until tomorrow 😂

A special limited edition Chimay Blue but in all honesty quite underwhelming. Might keep the bottle for a spicy oil for pizzas though

@stquinto  I agree some of the bottles are awesome, I often find with a lot of specialist imported beers, the bottle is better than the drink.

Grolsch would probably be a perfect example, however I don't mind it.
