We've got some in-laws visiting from Sydney currently. While I was at work my wife loaned the BIL my new tape measure. Somehow he managed to break it.

When I got home from work I discovered this in the fridge, a nice gift from the in-laws for me. I'm not sure if it's to compensate for the tape measure or not but if it is I don't have the heart to tell BIL the new tape measure was about $4. 😁😁

Haven't tasted the beer yet. I'll wait until tomorrow to share with BIL.

Following up on this story: We didn't drink the growler. BIL was enjoying my home brews so we never got around to it.

He showed some genuine interest in my home brew ramblings while he was here. They returned to lockdown in Sydney so I sent him a Coopers craft beer kit as an early birthday gift. He put together his first brew yesterday.

Welcome to the rabbit hole. 😁🍻

Quite enjoyed this. Quite hazy in the glass, good balance of bitterness and maltiness.

@jamiek86 one of the bars i print menus for in my day job has 3-4 varieties of 40oz available but sadly they're at bar prices and not dan murphy prices. first packaged grog i've brought into the house all year and i've always wanted to try one so for me it was $30 well spent

We t to see the good people at Fortitude Brewing for a couple of squealers. This one is Motown Brown Ale. I quite like it but it is a little odd. You expect a malty brown but get a hoppy fruity beer. I think they mentioned Citra. Nice aroma too. It’s not something I have to rush out to get more but it’s quite a nice brew and I could drink more. Good mouthfeel and pretty well balanced.

Last beer was a vic secret smash

Well it is true what they say about smash beers to make these great you have to get them spot on
as you cant hide ya mistakes

I wasnt thrilled with this beer however it was an easy drinking with a well pleasant hop
it would be kind of beer you would give that person  who likes to just drink VB or the sorts

wasnt my style of beer but i would give it a 6/10
