joolbag
I am a real fan of Black Hops beers. Were they much more expensive than the other craft beers @Otto Von Blotto? When i bought them they were about the standard price for craft singles
Otto Von Blotto
I was after a carton, and at $90 or whatever it was, I couldn't justify it even if it is nice beer. At the moment when I buy beer it's out of necessity because the kegs are empty, so I tend to get cartons. Once I get the second ferment fridge up and running I'll be more inclined to pick up singles to try out.
joolbag
Ah OK. Yes I baulk at $90 a carton too! I don;t mind paying $5-6 a can, esp if I get a 10-15% discount for buying six at a time. At least that way I am selecting singles and get to try 6 new beers for sub $30. Last case I bought was 24x Coopers Pale tinnies for $50. Right price, good beer and I was on holidays. I did bring up a broccoli box full of homebrew, but it wasn't enough once my guests arrived! 1
Naughty Corner Brewing
Just had a couple on the boss on the way home. First was a Newstead Brewing IPA, which was pretty good considering I’m didn’t use to be a fan of IPAs, but this could definitely change my mind if I could get rid of the aftertaste. The second was a Blueberry Gose from 4 Pined Brewing. Again, I’m not a big fan of sour beers but this was pretty well balanced and certainly not as sour as others. That said if it didn’t say Blueberry on the tag I probably wouldn’t have known that it was. This may have been because I started on the IPA first, but all in all it was an ok beer. Regardless, free beers are always good!
PaddyBrew2
Feral release their Biggy Juice in cans in WA tomorrow. NEIPA. It’s one of my faves. No idea how much they will go on sale for. My guess $28 a four pack

Smash
If you drank this with your eyes closed, you'd probably think it's closer to a brown ale not an XPA. Biscuity malt flavour to it 3
Smashed Crabs
Well they haven't invented craft beer where I am at the moment but picked these up for $2 each. Do enjoy a strong beer but these ... well i can at least say I tried em. Can't wait til I get home to try my own stuff again.

I think the sour would eventually be too much. One on its own was quite refreshing. I thought it would be a great beer for a hot day. I have my wife to thank. She got this one along with a few other cans for our local cellar, who specialises in wines, but also has a revolving door of craft beers.
Shamus O'Sean
Trolltunga - Similar to the Brucing with Stu without the smokiness.
Hilltop hops
Having a Thunder Road Big And Juicy NEIPA can. Probably the first NEIPA I've actually liked. Great tropical fruit hop flavour.
porschemad911
I've only got 3 Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier Dunkel left now out of the box of 12 I bought a couple of weeks back. It is such a good beer, soft mouthfeel with some nice rich malt, a bit of tartness and a nice balance of esters and phenols. One of the truly great beers I reckon! Cheers, John
PaddyBrew2
My local team back home has been playing in The knockouts of the European rugby cup. Having a few crafties. First one is a double IPA. 9% but holy shit tastes like a 5% which is scary. Hawkers brewery in Vic next up is IPA from down south of here. Love Colonial beer.

Was defiantly the better drink of the 4, I don't think they have heard of hops over there. Preferred the local Arrack to the 6 beers they stocked in there wine stores. Looking forward to all the new stuff to try in the next country thou ... they have a emerging craft beer scene.
Beers Gone Wild
I usually pop into BWS while she’s in Coles and grab a Random can of beer. Tried this Mountain Goat lager. They use Ella hops, which is new to me. i really enjoyed it.

They have a couple of very similar but better Pales and IPAs if you haven’t already. I do love a colonial pale though.
