Stella Artois

Haha that's funny... before getting back into Brewing I did enjoy that stuff...

And it was pretty interesting as there seemed to be different sources... but the Aussie Stuff was way better...

Think there was some stuff that was brewing in UK that was really flat and feral... different coloured carton and sometimes on special...

And yeah... interesting -  not v nice - the Aussie stuff was better... 😆

But I am with @Red devil 44 Reddler...  unless you could buy it at half-price yer much better off brewing yer own....

Great Beer... but way expensive....  (they were desperate times when I bought the carton 😆

and still way way cheaper than buying beer in a pub and cool to support a local little Aussie Brewer)

👍

Yeah I know what u mean . I once read the label and was made in the UK, was bit ordinary. I also remember the original stuff from Belgium is better than all of it. Despite the travel must be the water or something.

Doubt u could even get the original now we brew it under license here

Hey @Pezzza, all for supporting local brewers wherever they are, but $95-120 carton to the average punter is ridiculous IMHO 🤷‍♂️

I totally agree, the prices of craft beer have gone through the roof, there are some excellent beers among them but IMO most of them are rubbish, watery, tasteless, gassy over hopped rubbish to disguise the lack of malt, body etc.

The ever shrinking can/bottle size, carton size & bloody 4 packs. At least most of Coopers still have 6 x packs & 375ml cans.

The Dan Murphy/BWS/Liquor land etc all have sections where the cheaper stuff is, most of the brands we have never heard of all brewed especially for sale & distribution in their outlets by Pinnacle Drinks & the Endeavour Group.

Named after this lovely looking gentleman

„Caracu“ is one of Brazil‘s most traditional brands, a dark and very sweet stout, bitter with light coffee flavour. It has a great head and despite its sweetness and corn content a great full bodied flavour. Unfortunately it is coloured with an artificial colouring agent.

MOUNTAIN GOAT ORGANIC STEAM ALE

Uncle Dan's had these on special for $16.00 x 6 pack 375ml cans 4.5% ABV

My honest opinion, not bloody bad, I wouldn't drink it every day but hey that's not bad value.

It's 32c in downtown Glenelg so it hit's the spot.

Our certified organic Steam Ale is a brilliant introduction to the world of craft beer.

One of Australia’s first certified organic beers, Steam Ale is not your standard craft beer.

This brew is inspired by traditional steam beers, which are lagers brewed at warm, ale temperatures. We turned this technique on its head by brewing an ale at a cool, lager temperature, and landed at the same result.

Our Steam Ale is exactly what the original steam beer brewers set out to achieve: a crisp, refreshing beer that doesn’t compromise on character.

APPEARANCE
Pale, almost yellow, with a slight yeast-cloudiness and white foam.

AROMA
Fruity and tropical.

FLAVOUR
Crisp and clean with a dry finish.

Another European classic made in Brazil. Had a can the day before and liked it. So I chose a 600ml bottle today, tastes even better with our food.

$9.50 each, and 10 bucks for three long necks.

And $1.50 to wash it all down. What a great lunch
