I haven't tried this before, but glad I gave it a go. Lovely deep golden colour, slightly fruity notes with solid malt background and a well balanced, punchy bitterness. Very enjoyable.

Shepherd Neame & Co IPA. ABV 6.1%.

Love this beer. My idea of an IPA.

So true, Pints. I don't venture out much these days so it's nice to spoil myself and wifey occasionally. It was quite a good experience all round. Good food, beers and service, so I can't begrudge paying a few bucks.

Yeah, I agree. Hardly “get out” any more so you might as well make it an experience 😢

I forgot I still had a few in the fridge. I know now why the Belgians drive like mad. They’re always wasted, looking at the abv levels of the beers. The “lightest” came in at 6.5% 😀 This one has 9%. A nice beer with lunch. I’m glad I don’t have to drive but 😂

All of those are blaardy great AK! A bit on the hefty side, granted, but all go down easy. Chimay I would have as an after dinner beer, just like the Van Honsebrouk Dunkel. Their red is nice though, but at 8% it packs a punch. I just went to the supermarket in France and got some, at 1,90€ a bottle they’re a steal

Nice work @kmar92 you'd hope those fellas would probably be closer to the truth being the country of origin of the IPA to begin with in Faversham Kent 👍

I went back to the Highway Hotel ( Thirsty Camel ) for a 4-pack of the

SIERRA NEVADA TORPEDO EXTRA IPA

Wow, what a hop burst, Citra, Crystal, Magnum - It has a bite as well as a 7.2% ABV, I really like this one too.

Better still as yesterday a free glass, but the little darling said you a a good customer & gave me 2 glasses & 2 key rings.

I don't know if without reading in to it she meant I drink too much but I don't care as I am a responsible social drinker like the rest of you 🤣

Another delicious drop of Shapeshifter Brewing Co. one of the most flavorsome Porters I had. Perfect balance of chocolate and coffee, not too sweet, not to bitter and with 5.6 % ABV just the right punch. Would I buy it again? Hell yeah, if I could find it. None of the three Shapeshifter beers I tried so far gets a mention on their website. IMG_2543.thumb.JPG.58c4dbc9d58637064a22d13562d4808c.JPGIMG_2544.thumb.JPG.0d168afd2af1caa0874b6bf43d56db11.JPG

Hazy Pale Double Dry Hopped    5.8% ABV

This one is definatly hazy and hoppy, but in a very pleasant way, not too flowery and not too bitter. Hints of pineapple and a nice hops aroma, I am surprised, but I like it.

Unfortunately this was the last can of my birthday present. Final conclusion: Shapeshifter Brewing Co. I enjoyed all of their six beers, highly recommendable.

Otherside Brewing Co. I only enjoyed 5 of their six cans, but altogether their beers where sensational. I might get myself another pack of theirs.IMG_2571.thumb.jpeg.094d0b8a9a17a065f81038d10ab8679e.jpegIMG_2573.thumb.jpeg.4480862a3f869242fe5c1da43deb5b70.jpeg

Probably wasted this one as I had a couple of beers before hand at the pub  (Nail Hazy tasted good also) so my palate is probably a little  spoiled but tasted good with a nice bitterness plan on brewing this one at some stage as well! Good brewery!
