Beerlust Posted September 26, 2018 Author Share Posted September 26, 2018 Recently the Sierra Nevada brewery let slip to consumers that a batch of their Torpedo IPA had inadvertently been brewed & bottled minus the Magnum hop additions. It was only discovered when a stocktake of the brewery was performed & a large unused quantity of Magnum was found in a back storage area. Ironically the head tasters at the brewery never picked up on the missing Magnum when sampling the batch, & no customer complaints have been received. Unlike every other test brew they do where the panel tasters have differing views on the end results, in this case the panel tasters were ALL unanimous in their view that it was indeed the most boring beer they had EVER tasted. Calimero's catch phrases included "It's an injustice it is" & "nobody loves me". The broad English translation for the old Italian/Greek derived word "Calimero" is "Magnum". After a few quick questions by his physician he was relieved to find out he was fine & had simply been drinking Magnum hopped beer.
