dangoodie
Hi, I'm fairly new to this, but I'm interested in doing a Pilsner similar to the Grifter Brewery Serpent's Kiss. I'm getting a secondary fermenter soon to add the watermelon flavour, but as I am new, I'm not sure the best way to go about this. I would like to start with a concentrate based recipe and work from there. Any recommendations on how much watermelon, yeast, hops etc. would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Popo the Reprobate
G'day DANGOODIE, There's some good info on amounts here Watermelon Wheat. I saved this recipe a while ago but never got around to it. It's not a Pilsner (sorry!) but might give you a starting point. Coopers have a recipe (Blushing Blonde I think) that uses their Blonde can and berries which might be of some use too. Maybe. Cheers.
The Captain!!
Just looked through my experimental homebrew book and it says 1-3 pounds per gallon of purée at around 1.06OG
