What a cluster .......

Hi All,

I'm new to brewing and have just placed my third brew in the fermenter yesterday. I made the Irish Ale listed on the coopers site (http://www.coopers.com.au/the-brewers-guild/how-to-brew/ale/irish-ale).

Unfortunately I got a bit carried away with my consumption of beer during the time I was making the brew, and I forgot to put the Brew Enhancer 1 in, until after I had mixed the water (21L), Golden Syrup and Draught Extract in.

Fortunately I remembered before I put in the yeast. When I realised, I quickly put in and stirred.

Does anybody have any idea if this is going to adversely affect the ferment?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Regards,

Matt

PS: Feel free to scoff at my stupidity

well you mixed it B4 pitching yeast so thats good, so long as you didnt wait to long to mix it in then pitch yeast, & if you stir'd it in properly so it dissolved fully it should be ok. best thing you can do now is maintain the right temp without to much fluctuation

Thanks for the responses guys. I suppose all I can do is wait and see. Its been about 48 hours now, and it appears to be fermenting along nicely. Lots of bubbles etc...

Ill give it a week and take a FG reading. Ill let you know how it goes.

Regards,

Matt
