worry wort
ok, I'm sure I'm not the first to have this but cannot find anything on the search function here. The last 2 brews I have bottled have all gone well, however after bottling a white growth appears on the top of the brew in the bottle. Doesn't cover it, just forms bit of a crust on the bottle and in patches on top of the brew. Taste fine, and no so much of the stuff that it falls into your glass, but I've never encountered it before. Any ideas? tks WW.
Rowbrew
Hey Worry Wort, I think what you are referring to is just the mini krausen. When you bottle a batch, it starts fermenting the additional sugar and in turn, creates a mini krausen in the bottle. Nothing to worry about at all, ya big worry wort! Haha! Unless of course its infected. Cheers!
