RonaldW2
Hi all it's been a while. Not sure if you have seen but if you are interested KegLand are selling Gen 3 Robobrew's for $369 at the moment. I bought one so now I have to learn how to do AG. https://www.kegland.com.au/brewery/robobrews/35l-robobrew/robobrew-35l-gen-3.html Ron
DJB1962
I have the first gen Robobrew with which I run a seperate pump. While it has been great I must say I can see myself upgrading once they are back in stock.
James Lao
Think this has tipped the scales in favour of the Robobrew for me. Just watched the promo vid detailing the upgrades on the previous model. Looks like the complaints I had seen in online reviews have been addressed. Was planning on going to an AG set up later this year. Will have to get an order in for 2 of them! Along with grain mill and grain! Getting an early approval from the minister of finance is another issue though! Cheers James
RonaldW2
That was my problem too James, and she is still complaining about it a week later. I would be doing it soon as I am not sure how many they would have left at that price. Tell here that it might help. Remind her that it would be 2 for the price of 1. James Lao
Minister of Finance signed off on the Robobrew version 3 today. Only one of them though! Will just have to do my 2 brews one day after the other rather than the same day. Got mine ordered from Brewmart over here in Perth. Kegland have sold out, but Brewmart have got a pallet coming, apparently. Will also get a grain mill, 25kg of Maris Otter or Golden promise and do some simple brews to start off with. Anybody got the Grain mill from Country trading store? Looks to be the cheapest option and it comes with a board as well. Can't bloody wait! And the journey continues, happy days! RonaldW2
I did my first brew in the RB today. A simple pale, 4 kg of pale mashed at 67c for an hour in 14lt, sparged with14lt at 75c. Pre boil was 1043 post boil 1055 but I added a bit of water as I was a bit less than the 20lt that I was after. I hoped with 10gm Citra at 45min and 20gm of Amarillo at 15min. I hot cubed and will put it in the FV tomorrow. All went really well other than not adding enough water some where. I think. Ron
James Lao
Hi all, Just got the Robobrew the other day and planning on doing 2 brews on Saturday ( El Dorado IPA and Hobgoblin recipes from Brewmart). Got Beersmith profile sorted and chomping at the bit to get started. I was wondering if people use the pump to transfer to the FV or drain through the outlet valve? Was thinking it shouldn't matter as they are bit the bottom, but was thinking of minimising trub and stuff in the FV. I am using the immersion chiller and not hot cubing.
