I would like to say hi to everyone on the forum, I have been reading for a couple of months now and am onto my 4th brew atm.

1: coopers draft kit with BE2.

2: brigalow apple cider (for SWMBO) I hope I got that right.

3: Irish red ale according to coopers recipes in the ale section

4: dr smurtos Golden Ale, kits n bits version -

1 can Coopers Lager

1 can Coopers Wheat Malt

250g crystal (caramalt, caramunich, carabohemian, light/medium english crystal)

20g Amarillo @ 15 and 0 (sometimes listed as 15g @ 10, 5 and dry hop, i prefer the former)

US-05

Topped up to 20L (not 23L).

I subbed the coopers wheat malt for just normal wheat malt extract from the brew shop.

I am totally hooked, that kits n bits recipe totally feels like the gateway into many more possibilities. can't wait to taste it.

I am already youtubing all grain stuff, and looking into mini biab.

only thing is i wonder about the fermenter size.

If I was to do a 10 to 15lt batch in my coopers 30lt fermenter. Will i have any issues?

cheers.

I don't see why there'd be any issues doing a small batch in a 'normal' size fermenter, I've done it once without issue myself (11/12 litre batch) but you know.. one guy doing it one time with no problems doesn't mean a hell of a lot tongue.

Anyway, sounds like you're really getting into it which is awesome, you'll only improve on your beers the more you go along and learn etc. biggrin
