Sending beer within Australia

I've been sending tasters to my Family and they can't get enough. Problem is: it costs $17 for a 5kg road satchel that only takes about 6 beers.. Australia Post really weren't of much help when I asked how I could best send larger qty's cheaply. Anyone have any insights here?

Cheers

I thought they had a wine packing box. This was a few years ago, but prices were exorbitant for wineries sending a dozen bottles to their customers/subscribers. Then AusPost introduced this special deal and I was paying $10 or so freight from cellar door to my door.

Bloody AusPost. So expensive. There are some competitors in the marketplace now, shop around if the wine box doesn't prove fruitful

Whatever happened to the days when you could drop a package at the railway station and the person to whom the package was consigned simply picked it up at the parcels office at the other end? Used to cost peanuts as I recall.

Corksniffer, maybe you need a new drinking buddy. One who works on the railways.smile
