I also asked my daughter as she has friends who make doggy treats but apparently the industry is moving away from grain because the dog nutritionists say it is not good for them. None of the people with chooks I asked want any either. So in the garden they go...attracting dozens of birds and with the birds comes the crap. These buggers crap all over the patio, table, chairs, the lot. I'm still trying to find a good solution to get rid of them...the grains, not the birds...then again... You got to bury it mate. Birds and even more so the flies. I dig trenches or holes depending on where my veggie garden is at. I have dug a hole in the veggie garden and put 4kgs or so or grain in and the worms have destroyed it in 2 months.
Naughty Corner Brewing
My chooks generally destroy a batch of grain in an afternoon, and there’s only three of them. If I buried it in the vegetable garden, I’d have to hide them on the way down the yard.
