ShaneO'
Hi everyone, About a week ago I bottled up a standard coopers draught. It was in the FV for 14 days, cleared out well, stable FG over 4 days, tasted like I think it should. Bottles were sanitized as was everything else. Upoon inspecting the bottles today, there is a white film of scum at the tops of the bottles and a large bubble. The beer is clear, the usual residue is at the bottom, opened a bottle, it smelt good, poured into glass and the white film was all broken up and had floaties on the top of the foam... Had a taste, and it doesnt taste bad at all.. What is going on? infection? was hoping to have this ready in a month for a birthday. Cheers

jackgym
A week isn't very long to leave it after bottling. Wait another couple of weeks and the sediment should drop out. A lot of my brews have a white ring around the top of the bottle. No problem.
Graculus
For some reason I get that on some of my ciders. I also have it on a Pale Ale I bottled a couple of weeks ago. The ciders all taste good, so I try not to worry about it. I hope the Pale Ale is OK too.
