  1. Your living my dream I want to be totally self reliant if you need any info please ask, but if your on solar panels and have an ink bird it can make you good beer.
  2. Right oh I'm not an AG Guy yet. But I have been doing the can"s and changing what malts, sugars,and amounts I put in, I do do the old soak grain for 24 hours and adding the juices to my brew, I take it that all I'm getting is a hint of flavor, is that right and by doing an AG what would I expect to get, (I am time poor at the moment but one day...lol )
  3. Just what was taught to me by an old time forces the co2 into the brew.
  4. I normally set it to 70 for 24 hrs then back to serving pressure which is 10-12 this is the first to let go.
  5. Probably 3 months, I brought the kegs as seconds and replaced all the seals. Yeah after a crap day at work the having to do house work as a man it topped it off.

Well I made a beer fountain yesterday, I set the keg pressure to 70 psi, to force carbonate, when I came back 24 hours later I removed the gas line off the out post to be greeted with beer going everywhere, the seal in the top of the post had come out...... and of course it was going to be a quick 2 min job after a shit day at work.....☹
  7. as above around 40 schooners but i have found that my kegs must evaporate or leak, cause i seem to have to fill them more often then I did with the bottles.....
  8. I added port to a stout afew times but as mentioned I did it after it had fermented then let it sit for 2 weeks. Cheers
  9. Hello People, I'm looking at putting down a chocolate stout this weekend, I have a 1.7kg Tin of coopers dark malt and was thinking of using this rather then the 1kg Dark dry malt, can anyone see any reason why this wouldn't work???? Cheers Chris

  11. Hello people, Can any body tell me why I keep getting over temp messages from my inkbird, I have the fridge setting on medium. And a 35 watt heat belt hanging inside the fridge. The photo shows my inkbird settings. Thanks in advance.

  13. I did the blushing blonde but with mango chunks in it on the 2nd day, it seemed fine when I keged it, except its bloody orange when I filtered it. Cheers Chris

Help please I have my fermenter 2 with saf us-05 yeast in a Australian pale ale with 25grm citra and 25 grm Galaxy, i pitch the yeast at 19 dec , problem i'm having is it has not started to bubble thru the air Lock ( yes I still us the airlock) my stout started bubbling yesterday that was pitched at 19 dec as well, does the hops make a diffrence in fermantation?? i put them both down about 2pm Saturday.
