OK,( take 2 I created this album in the wrong place so I hope I have moved it over). This is a Cooper's Canadian Blonde brew can, nothing special, 18 days in the FV @ about 24deg before bottling. I did notice that the beer is a little darker after it was bottled, than from what it was in the FV as seen in the hydrometer. Is this normal or should the beer be lighter in colour?

Yeast in suspension makes it look lighter in color in the fermenter and hydrometer samples. It settles out in the bottles so it looks a bit darker.

I've just tasted, yesterday afternoon my 2nd brew which is the blonde and although it hasn't got a bad taste, it has not got any life to it, no fizz at all. My 1st brew was the lager and I was very pleased. I followed all the instructions as per the lager and am very disappointed. Has anyone else had this problem? My 3rd brew is ready for bottling which is the real ale, so I hope it gets the thumbs up.

Mal. newcomer to the game.
