What Are You Drinking in 2022?
interceptor replied to Itinerant Peasant's topic in DIY Brewing Blether
Hazy IPA thing. It's hazy and IPA like. Hophead yeast which is pretty good actually. -
I have been taking a keen interest in this Brewery & their awesome beers which resulted in me getting the new beer tap handles. This video is interesting - to me anyway.

Kolsch Double batch fermenting nicely. 2 packs of K-97 German Ale Yeast@18 degrees. ‘Starting to go from a dark colour to a nice straw colour (hard to see in photo)

I am getting ready for Brew Day AG #3 - a bit long winded & overdue but today I have cleaned/sanitised the Brew Zilla & I am storing Pura Tap water in 2 clean FV's to sit overnight uncovered to assist with Chlorine removal. Oh yes, the whole reason for this post - a sneaky Coops Pale Ale just because I can. Cheers.

I haven't used Kviek Voss for awhile and I had forgotten how fast it can ferment. This brew was pitched 5PM Friday and showed an OG of 1.051. By 10AM Saturday the Rapt Pill is reporting the gravity as 1.010 which was the predicted final gravity according to Brewfather. I have dry hopped it with the hops in a Chux cloth. It is looking great in the Coopers plazzi FV.

Red devil 44 started following Samual Adams Clone
-
I’ve brewed this AG Sam Adam’s twice and both times used dubbya 34/70@12 degrees, both times came out great

All good SOS @Shamus O'Sean ol' cobber I got the drift that you just had inadvertently swapped directions which is easily done but thought worth just maybe clarifying and all good mate And that maybe the little discussion might also help any brewer who may be interested in a foray into the whole solution pH thing. Cheers and Good Brewing to All -
Was meant to be monthly medal today but of course it had to rain again. It hasn't been heavy but it's been constant, and it is pretty much drizzle with maybe a shower here and there now. The course is still open but carts are off for today so it's just a regular Saturday Stableford, although the field is significantly smaller. I'll go have a hit anyway, it's still a handicap round and with it not being busy there shouldn't be any holdups. Good practice either way

Looking good IC

Nice!!! The one on the right is the last batch and the big f00kers are a new batch into HUGE sheep bungs. 3 1/2 kilos of meats made 2 1/2 salamis.... It will be interesting to see how long they take to dry and if they dry properly.
-
Cheers but I love celery !!
-
Looks great apart from the celery.... yuck
-
Looks super unhealthy! Nice one!

Probably taste better too
-
Cheers @jennyssit turned out very nice as the Tagine is a form of a slow cooker where-by the steam cooks the food, they are very versatile & can also be used in the oven. The bread is called Tiger Bread from Woolworths & is is always crunchy. I use it for lot's of other recipes.
-
The stew is the star; also the crust on the bread looks very interesting, and the glass of red makes it a triumphant trio

She's had a big day with my Grandsons over. She adores them.
-
Thanks for the input, I'm going to bottle tomorrow. That'll be day 6 after pitching. I've tasted the samples a couple of times and I'm pretty confident that it'll be ok. Maybe a little fruitier than perhaps it's meant to be but unless it tastes like vinegar I'll probably drink it. Cheers again

May aswell have a coke zero. Cheaper too.

Yep. You are right IP. My bad. I got my higher and lower in pH around the wrong way. And it is better to say that dark grains are more acidic. -
I have had it for years they are great, I would advise to invest in a good one, mine is this one. https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=1bfc301339c63d37f5da9e536ae7f2a88b8f3c25c3a86b28776e19586493ca4dJmltdHM9MTY1NjY4MDQ1NSZpZ3VpZD01YmMyZGNkNy03Y2FmLTRmNDItOTc5Ny1iMGRlMTk4NWU0NjkmaW5zaWQ9NTIzNw&ptn=3&hsh=1&fclid=d7e6528b-f93d-11ec-b5bc-7bdc2f44e778&u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZW1pbGVoZW5yeS5jb20vZW4vdGlwP2lkX3RpcD0xMA&ntb=1
